Based in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado, Chris is the principal and co-founder of Confidence Financial Partners. Chris is a published author and has been a featured editorial contributor to Kiplinger’s. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of New Mexico, Anderson Schools of Management, and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Texas, Tyler Branch. Chris co-hosted one of the most popular weekend retirement radio shows for fourteen years, which broadcasted on the largest talk radio station AM 740 KVOR in Colorado Springs.
Chris’s background in finance began when he helped launch a successful advisory firm in Colorado Springs and was one of the original creators of the 5 Point Retirement Defense Plan. In 2024 Chris and his business partner Dustin West launched Confidence Financial Partners creating a healthy corporate culture to focus on giving top level service to clients and enabling their team to do business and do life #DBDL.
Chris has also played key roles as a leadership-level executive for different organizations such as Vice President of Marketing and Operations at Purpose Driven Church – founded by best-selling author Rick Warren (The Purpose Driven Life), Executive Director of Operations for INJOY and Maximum Impact – a leadership development company founded by best-selling author John Maxwell, Director of Church Outreach and Community Outreach at Focus on the Family founded by Dr. James Dobson, and Executive Director of Acquire the Fire Youth Conventions for Teen Mania Ministries. In addition, Chris spent 15 of his summers overseas leading teams of teenagers and young adults on humanitarian aid trips to developing nations such as Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru, Albania, India, Ghana, Cameroon, Thailand, Bulgaria, Hungary, South Africa, and others.
Today Chris lives in Monument, Colorado on the edge of Pike’s Peak National Forest with his wife, Kimi, and has three grown children. He enjoys watching sunrises, mountain biking, adventure motorcycling, dirt biking on e-motorcycles, skiing black diamonds, and hiking with his family. His passion as a financial advisor is to help empower other families to experience life with confidence, freedom & purpose.
